Guided by Director Wang Lu, the visiting leadership team toured Shenzhen Cell Valley's smart exhibition hall, gaining an initial understanding of the company's strategic planning in the cell and gene therapy field, its founding team, the unique advantages of its core retroviral vector preparation technology and cell product manufacturing processes, as well as its full-process traceable quality management system with stringent controls.

During the symposium, Chairman Professor Shi Yuanyuan stated that Shenzhen Cell Valley's core technology team has successfully utilized self-produced industrial-grade retroviral vectors to prepare CAR-T cell products targeting over 50 targets, which have demonstrated excellent safety and efficacy in clinical research at multiple domestic medical institutions. In addition, Shenzhen Cell Valley has established several subsidiaries in Beijing and the Greater Bay Area. Regarding the recent joint issuance by three national ministries and commissions of special policies for the CGT sector in the Guangdong Free Trade Zone, Professor Shi Yuanyuan expressed strong interest and is considering establishing a Cell Valley branch within the Qianhai Free Trade Zone to fully leverage national policies and support the development of Shenzhen's cell therapy industry.

Director Lin Taide introduced that Qianhai is located at the center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and serves as an important node connecting internal and external circulation within the region. Over the past three years, Qianhai has accelerated its pace in building an international medical services cluster, achieving a series of "first" innovative measures, including the introduction of the country's first support policy for Hong Kong and Macao medical institutions, the launch of the first batch of international quality accreditation for hospitals, the establishment of the first wholly Hong Kong-funded hospital in Qianhai, the opening of the first international community health center, the approval of the "Hong Kong and Macao Drug and Medical Device Connect" policy, and the introduction of Shenzhen's first Hong Kong nurse for cross-border practice. These measures have driven breakthrough progress in international medical services in Shenzhen. Currently, Qianhai has gathered 10 international medical institutions. In 2023, four tertiary and above hospitals in Qianhai provided international medical services to over 42,000 overseas patients (of which Hong Kong patients accounted for 72%), offering quality medical support services for overseas individuals working and living in Qianhai. Moreover, the Qianhai Authority has established the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Dream Factory, an innovation and entrepreneurship platform with international influence and new quality productive forces, positioning it as the "first stop," "preferred destination," and "dream realization zone" for Hong Kong youth seeking innovation, entrepreneurship, and employment on the mainland, as well as for domestic high-quality science and technology innovation enterprises expanding to Hong Kong. The purpose of this visit was to conduct on-site research and engage in more in-depth communication with Shenzhen Cell Valley, with the expectation of promoting further development in the cell therapy field between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

This visit enhanced mutual understanding between the two parties. Both sides expressed the hope to engage in broader cooperation in the future, bringing more positive and significant health benefits to patients in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and truly realizing the corporate vision of "Cells benefit all, genes create the future."
